Highlighting the trauma of war, this gripping drama is frequently intense with Colin Firth as the conflicted WWII veteran Eric Lomax.

Decades after release from a Japanese prison camp, Eric is withdrawn and simmers with anger. After discovering the whereabouts of the worst of his captors, he sets off to Singapore, seeking to find justice for the atrocities inflicted on him.

An incredibly affecting tale, doubly so by being based on a true story.
