Supermodel Elle Macpherson is devastated after learning her ex-boyfriend is dating a woman than 20 years her junior.
The 47-year-old supermodel – who split from US millionaire Jeff Soffer earlier this month after a two-year relationship – is said to have taken the news that her former partner is now romantically involved with a 25-year-old Columbian bikini model “really hard”.
“Jeff’s new girlfriend is 25 years old. Elle had been on the cover of every magazine going before this new girl was even born.” A source says.
“Elle is old enough to be her mum. But even though this just proves Jeff is shallow and not the right guy for Elle, she has taken it really hard. We all want things to turn around for Elle. She is an incredible woman and doesn’t deserve this.”
The Australian beauty – who has two sons, Flynn (14), and nine-year-old Cy, with former fiance Arpad Busson – reportedly split from Jeff after the strain of the Fontainebleau hotel group owner’s $771 million legal business battle became too much to handle.
An insider said at the time: “They were dating but it was rather on and off. She used to visit Jeff in Miami but they didn’t spend Christmas together – she went home to Australia instead. She was due to go to an art festival in December with him but cancelled.”
Meanwhile, Elle’s ex Arpad – who she split from in 2005 – is now expecting a child with Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman.
The source added: “There’s a part of her that never really got over Arpad. But she’s concentrating on moving on from Arpad and now Jeff too.”
