There’s something hypnotic about the third album from Kiwi hip-hop and soul artist, Ladi6.
Recorded in Detroit with renowned R&B producer Waajeed, her enchanting vocals float on top of groovy psychedelic beats on tracks Ikarus and Slow Ride, a strong collaboration with US female rapper Invincible. Although she holds back on the emotional intensity in parts, Ladi6 makes it count on Dust – a hauntingly dark track that comes deep from the soul.
