CD: All In My Head, Lisa Crawley

Auckland-born Lisa Crawley doesn't take herself to seriously

Auckland-born Lisa Crawley doesn’t take herself too seriously. Her sophomore album is a kooky delight, filled with pop ditties about everything, from being the “stupidest girl in the world”, to the dilemma of whether or not to take a sleeping pill.

But this self-deprecation can’t hide her great talent. With vocals akin to Katie Melua and Norah Jones, the standout single, Elizabeth, about a patronised up-and-coming singer, is witty, catchy and all class.
