British pop star Jessie J has never been afraid to speak, or sing, her mind. The openly bisexual 25-year-old’s second album is filled with empowering tracks – in It’s My Party, she laughs in the face of her former schoolyard bullies. It’s refreshing in a time when young women count Miley Cyrus as a role model.

However, the album has an 80s and 90s R&B flavour, and at times feels as if she is imitating US singer Pink or an early Whitney Houston. It’s on ballads Alive and Daydreamin’ that Jessie truly finds her voice.
We have 10 copies of the album to giveaway to enter click here.
