The Eagles have beaten Britney Spears to the top of the US album chart. The band’s first studio CD in almost 30 years, ‘Long Road out of Eden’, sits at number-one on the Billboard 200, having sold 711,000 copes despite only being stocked in the department stores Wal-oart and Sam’s Club. Britney’s fifth album ‘Blackout’, which contains the hit single ‘Gimme More’ is in second place with sales of 290,000.
