Ashlee Simpson is set to record a duet with `The Cure’ frontman Robert Smith. The song will appear on the 22-year-old’s yet to be released new album. The younger sister of pop star Jessica Simpson has been romantically linked to Fall out Boy star Pete Wentz, who initiated the idea and is close friends with Robert. However Pete denies this connection saying, “I doubt I had anything to do with it, because they were friends since she was performing in ‘Chicago’. But I definitely only have good things to say about Ashlee – I think the collaboration could be great.” The album is expected to be released this year.[04 April 2007]
