Amy Winehouse’s family have released an official statement following the singer’s death on Saturday. The family asked for their privacy to be respected after the Rehab singer was found dead at her London home at the age of 27.
“our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister and niece,” the statement reads.
“She leaves a gaping hole in our lives. We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time.”
Police are treating the death as unexplained and an autopsy is expected to take place tomorrow.
