R&B singer Shaffer Chimere Smith – better known by his stage name, Ne-Yo – is set to be a father! The ‘So Sick’ singer has revealed he recently attended his first ultrasound with girlfriend oonyetta Shaw.
Ne-Yo says, “I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way. And I’m very, very, very excited about that! It’s a New Year’s baby and I’m just in a really good place right now.”
Indeed, it’s happy news for the singer-songwriter, who was first led to believe he became a father five years ago. His former girlfriend gave birth to a daughter, named Chimere, in 2005, however, Ne-Yo was heartbroken to discover the baby wasn’t his and later filed a lawsuit against the mother.
