A photo of me and my little Lucas, taken on a trip to Western Australia. Sent in by Julie, Carterton.

cuddly-magic-moments-476

This is one of my favourite moments ever… On the beach in Australia during a nice morning stroll my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed with a ring he had sneakily been carrying in his pocket for a while, waiting for the perfect moment. Wanting to secure the moment on film forever I tried many attempts to take a picture myself that I would be proud of forever and this was the result. Someone eventually came to our rescue and took some lovely snaps but this is my favourite because at that moment, it was just the two of us enjoying such a special cuddly moment… and I was the star and the photographer. Sent in by Claire, Wellington.

Sent in by Nikki, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-465

Here is a picture of my husband having a much-needed cuddle with our four-week-old daughter Scarlet after a hard day at work. She was born four weeks early, and has spent two of the last four weeks in hospital. Having a nearly three-year-old means Dad hasn’t spent much time with Scarlet. Priceless. Sent in by Debi, Wellington.

cuddly-magic-moments-464

I was going through a low point, struggling with PND, when my wonderful friend turned up. She did my hair and makeup and started to take some photos of me (she was trying to remind me of how other people saw me) when my two-year-old woke up. He just came over and snuggled in. Vinny took this beautiful picture of us. It is my magic moment because every time I look at it, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have an amazing family and great friends. Sent in by Kim, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-463

I knew I absolutely had to enter our Jet (5)’s magic picture he drew while on holiday at his grandparents’ in Gisborne recently. He spent three days drawing this picture on a large whiteboard and filled every space with love hearts and words such as, I love my mum and dad, Cuba (brother) and even Coco (dog). We think it is truly magic that our usually very tough little boy made such an effort to let us know how much he missed and loved us. Sent in by the The Te Aho Family.

This rare opportunity to cuddle our premature babies skin to skin without the CPAP breathing tubes that normally covered their precious faces was amazing. After weeks of being separated in incubators they still had a special connection. Sent in by Kim, Wellington.

I took this photo of my newborn twins (a girl and a boy) a couple of weeks ago and thought that you might enjoy it. I think you can guess which one my little girl is! The picture speaks for itself but there is a second reason that it is so magic – I conceived them naturally last year after recovering from breast cancer which I was diagnosed with at 36 – so they really are my little magic miracle babies! Sent in by Nicki, Wellington.

In the picture are my daughters Brooklyn (4) and Annaleise (9). They are both my magic moments. Sent in by Rebecca, Tauranga.

cuddly-magic-moments-405

So many magic moments recorded, but this one always brings me the biggest smiles and warms my heart. This is my now-fiance Andrew with our wee Jayana (now five). We had just returned home from a day of shopping, they were both really tired and fell asleep. I happened to notice that they were identical in the way they were sleeping so I snapped the photo. It was definitely a magic moment for me and it’s the only photo of them that I have sleeping like this…. She is every bit her father and this moment most certainly confirms that. I was in labour and giving birth at the same hospital as my husband’s post-surgery. This is when we finally got to all go home and, of course, they are wrapped up in sheets that were washed in Cuddly. I love the soft baby smell of Cuddly, and I love the way my baby’s clothes smell. Now one year on from the photo he is a big boy, but I still love this photo. Sent in by Rachel, Auckland.

After escaping following the February 22 earthquake to Invercargill, little Miss Indie-Rose Scully was born on March 2 2011. Dad had the first hold and she poked her tongue out at him. This is my favourite magic moment of my husband Phil and our daughter Zoe – at 10 days old she already had him wrapped around her little finger. She burst into the world on her due date, about two hours after I woke up in the morning and 11 minutes after we arrived at the hospital. She arrived bum first (naturally) and weighed a tiny 2kg. This is the first picture of the boys with our new addition. It was taken while I was still in the hospital bed as the epidural was wearing off, hence the poor background! My beautiful family is now complete. Sent in by Amanda, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-378

I thought this was a magic moment -when we had snow last year for the first time in the 30 years we have lived here. Sent in by Trish, Hawera.

cuddly-magic-moments-377

This is one of many magic moments that we have as a family. This was our first trip to the snow with the kids. All week our daughter had been talking about making a snow queen (not a snowman), so we went through all her jewellery and packed up some stuff to put on the snow queen (not forgetting, of course, the carrot for the nose). Daddy helped to build the snow queen and she decorated it. She was so proud that our normally shy daughter went up to complete strangers and asked them to look at the snow queen she had made. It was a lovely family day at the snow. Sent in by Tania, Morrinsville.

You are never too young or too old to enjoy a true kiwi summer. Sent in by Claire, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-367

This is a photo of our youngest daughter Ysabella. This photo is a magic moment because Bella is so at peace with the world here. She has multiple medical problems and as a result we don’t often get to see her relaxed. The few exceptions are in water (swimming or bathing) and on a swing! Her favourite place in the world is the beach. I think the sand and the gentle swishing of the waves helps her relax! Sent in by Rebekah, Hamilton.

cuddly-magic-moments-366

cuddly-magic-moments-365

This was one of the happiest days of my life and I felt so honoured to have my dad give me away. Sent in by Karen, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-364

This is a photo taken on the day our youngest child, Charlie, was brought home from the hospital – the same day our three other children met him. When I was 28 weeks pregnant, I became ill with the H1N1 virus, leading to double pneumonia. At 29 weeks, I was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit of Dunedin Hospital and put into an induced coma. Two weeks later, I awoke to find I wasn’t pregnant anymore! Baby Charlie had been born via emergency C-section at 30 weeks. He then spent 8 more weeks in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit with no family, except my husband and I, allowed to see him. We brought Charlie home with holes in his heart and a PDA valve that hadn’t closed, but he’s done wonderfully – the holes closed by themselves and the PDA was closed at Starship just after his first birthday. I love this photo as it’s the first with all the children together. Sent in by Alida, Dunedin.

cuddly-magic-moments-358

A day trip to Goat Island near Leigh. We encountered this very friendly donkey just off the car park. The moment was so special as we interacted with the donkey for quite some time. He seemed to take a real interest. We took great delight in feeding him and patting him. Suffice to say, we have a whole catalogue of photos featuring our new best friend. An animal experience that was an unplanned surprise and the highlight of the day with fond memories ever since! Sent in by Kent, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-355

The photo I have sent in is of my darling dad (or Grandy Jim as the kids called him), who we lost in November last year, and my son Paul. It was a special moment of them playing with hats on the couch. Wee Paul never shied away from his grandfather, even though he knew he was unwell with cancer. They had a very special bond. It was not long after this photo was taken that we lost dad. Sent in by Nicola, Invercargill.

cuddly-magic-moments-354

The photo is of me with my twins. It was taken at the start of our second week at home following a gruelling three weeks in the Special Care baby Unit at the hospital. I love this “skin on skin” photo as it just reminds me of how much overwhelming love I felt for them when we shared our cuddles. My twins are called Anya and Heidi, and are now a healthy 16 months old. Sent in by Carys, Hawke’s Bay.

cuddly-magic-moments-348

This is a photo of our daughter Carys with her three best friends (our dogs) Fynn, Mollie and Ellie – snuggled up in her pajamas ready for bed, but all up at the window waiting for Dad to come home from work. Sent in by Sarah, Auckland.

My magic moment was the first time I got to hold my baby boy Lincoln. At 32 weeks, I had a scan that showed he was a very little baby, but no-one could tell me why. From there, my pregnancy changed and I was in for appointments three times a week at the hospital to monitor his heartbeat and scans to make sure everything was okay. He was born at 38 weeks with the cord wrapped tightly around his neck. After removing the cord, manual CPR, oxygen and other checks, I was finally able to hold him. He’s my little miracle. Sent in by Julie, Christchurch.

cuddly-magic-moments-346

After a fall in my fifth month of pregnancy, eight weeks ago my daughter Eva (22 months) finally meets her little brother Frank for the first time. I think her face says it all, “Wow, I finally understand what Mum has been on about for the last eight months!” Thankfully, our little man is perfect and the family is complete. Sent in by Elisa, Upper Hutt.

cuddly-magic-moments-338

The best magical moment: my sister’s boy Robbie (1) and my two girls (4 and 5) having a moment together on Boxing Day 2011. The most magical thing is cousins that are nearly 10 years apart can be so delighted in each other’s company. Sent in by Donna, Rotorua.

cuddly-magic-moments-337

This is my partner of eight years, Benjamin, and our long-awaited baby daughter Mariah who was born on March 7 this year. It was a magical moment as we have wanted a baby for so long. But as I have crohn’s disease it’s been a long road to get to here. Also Mariah was born with a cleft palate and will have to have surgery in the coming months. We are also trying hard to save for our wedding in March next year and it would be a fantastic to get away and be distracted from all that we have been through. Sent in by Bianca, Christchurch.

cuddly-magic-moments-336

My son, Evan (left) and daughter Amber (right) with their friend Micah (middle) after an impromptu mud slide in our backyard. My magic moment with my five-year-old niece. The fish was a result of her first fishing lesson with us in magical Mangawhai. It was so magic to see how proud she was. She didn’t want to touch it at first, then wanted to show everyone. Great stuff. Sent in by Michelle, Auckland.

This is me performing on stage in my steampunk outfit at the Palmerston North belly dancing show. It is magic to me as I got fantastic applause. This photo is from our time in Palmerston North visiting family a couple of Christmases ago. Wellington snowfall – August 2011. This was the very first time my (then) 6- year-old daughter had ever seen snow and the very first snowman we had ever built together. I grew up in Southland so experienced snow often in my childhood, but after 10 plus years in Wellington I had forgotten what fun it is just to play in the snow and have fun as a family. Our magic moment! Sent in by Claire, Wellington.

cuddly-magic-moments-325

This picture was taken at Motat a couple of years back. It is special as we have so few photos of all four of us together. It was taken moments after we’d just been taken four-wheel driving and we had been holding on for dear life in the back of this army vehicle as we were bounced around in the back – the kids loved the adrenalin rush and it was the end of the perfect family day for us all! Sent in by Deirdre, Auckland.

This photo may not look much at first glance but is very special to me and my daughter Maddy. My son Tom is severely autistic and basically has no time for other people – especially his sister, much to her sadness! In the photo she is signing “love” to him (arms crossed in front of chest). He has broken into a lovely smile and pulled her down onto his lap for a kiss on her head – the first (and so far last) time ever! Sent in by Alissa, Auckland.

This was a Marmite magic moment! As I was busy packing up the car after a weekend away, it seems my lovely quiet children were amusing themselves with a pot of Marmite! I sure could have used some Cuddly after this episode – and what a crime to waste Marmite like that now that we have the shortage! Sent in by Linda, Whangaparaoa.

cuddly-magic-moments-315

This is the photo of my son Matthew (six months) giving me a big hug right before they took him into surgery – hence the gown and scrubs. He was so brave. Until this day they had never met and this photo was taken the day they first met. This photo is my magical moment from almost nine years ago. It simply doesn’t get any more magical than this! Sent in by Tischa, Timaru.

My magic moment is the moment I first laid eyes on my beautiful baby girl, Naya, who was born on November 17 2011. cuddly-magic-moments-305

This photo represents a magic moment because it’s the first time since the birth of my two children that I have really been able to celebrate being me! I was going to download a photo of my awesome kids, but all the moments with them are magic. This photo is of me, performing in the 2011 Tarnished Frocks and Divas show – a Tauranga musical and fashion extravaganza that is open to women over the age of 40. I was in many other shows in my twenties and even a few in my early thirties, but I thought moving away from Wellington and becoming a mum meant those days were over for me. There’s another show planned for next year, and I’m definitely auditioning again! Sent in by Viv, Tauranga.

I see this photo as a magic moment for me as it portrays what kids are about getting in there, getting messy and trying out new things! It was the summer just gone and my son, Oscar, took a liking to opening the freezer door and pulling things out. He found the ice cream and somehow managed to get the lid open. I turned around to find him digging out the ice cream (goody goody gumdrops) and having a great time! His first taste of ice cream! Sent in by Rebecca.

This was my daughter’s first butterfly just after it had emerged from its chrysalis. We had a whole swan plant full of them, but were going on holiday to Invercargill for three weeks so we would miss them all coming out. So we decided to take one of the chrysalis’ with us in the car (a four day journey). When after about two weeks of staying in Invercargill it finally came out, she was very excited that she could actually hold her own butterfly (she was about four at the time). Our magic moment… 6am on Easter Sunday, the house full of relatives sound asleep. We took the pile of tempting chocolate, some blankets and our three adorable children outside to let the house sleep on. Victoria, however, was so excited she couldn’t contain herself. She shrieked in delight at the huge pieces of delicious chocolate sitting before her and her two brothers. Needless to say, our attempts to keep the noise away from the family inside were futile; Victoria’s squeals of joy woke the whole house up anyway. It was a very magical moment. Then on a Saturday, the sun finally came out and he walked into our lounge and was struck by the morning sun. Sent in by Sarona, Christchurch.

Due to financial constraints, we don’t get to see Nana (who lives in the UK) very often – the last time she was able to visit was in 2010 when Lizzy was just nine months old. This year she was able to visit us again, and the girls were so excited to see her in person instead of on Skype! Nana arrived late at night the day before Mother’s Day, long after the girls had gone to bed. The next morning, the girls burst into her bedroom, both shouting with excitement and climbed into bed with her to give her a big cuddle. Lizzy was a bit shy at first, but after a few seconds was cuddling her just as much as Molly. This picture captures the moment! Sent in by Paula, Auckland.

At the time the photo was taken we were not married, but on this trip, overlooking the beautiful Wairarapa, Damon proposed to me. We took this photo with the camera strategically balanced on the bike seat, using the timer. A magical and memorable moment. Sent in by Julie, Wellington.

This is a pic of my son Ryan and I taken at Omaha beach. My husband, our boy and I had decided to get away for the weekend (we’re from Auckland) and love hitting the beach for long walks – even in winter! This is our magic moment – Ryan’s smile makes any gloomy winter’s day brighten and you can see he’s loving spending some time outside rugged up. Words can’t capture how much Ryan’s changed our life for the better; we just can’t imagine life without him. Sent in by Kim, Auckland.

This photo is my magic moment – my partner was dying of man flu recently and relaxing on the couch feeling sorry for himself, when my two-year-old twin daughters decided that they should read him books to make him feel better. Best seats in the house I reckon! It is especially magical to me as my partner is not the girls’ father, so when I see the bond that they share it makes life even more special. Sent in by Kate, New Plymouth.

This photo of my partner, daughter and I represents family, love and happiness. The three things that make life worth living! Sent in by Georgia, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-217

This is a photo of my family taken one Christmas, it was a magic moment because we were all together in one place at the same time. It’s something I really appreciate as the years go by and this gets harder to achieve. I have two sons in the Army and often they aren’t home for Christmas because of their obligations, this is something we have to accept but it makes Christmas day feel incomplete without us all together. So looking at this picture makes me thankful for the good times together. Sent in by Ruth.

cuddly-magic-moments-216

When we were marvelling at the view of the New York skyline, he was excited about the boats in the water. When we were overawed by the vastness of the Grand Canyon, he was more interested in the donkey poo on the trail. When we got to Disneyland and he was trembling with excitement to meet Mickey Mouse, we got so much pleasure from watching his little two-year-old-face light up time and time again. Priceless! This magic moment in the sand dunes at Mangawhai Heads is so special to us because Daniel, who is sandwiched between his dad and sister, has cerebral palsy. He cannot walk by himself yet was determined to climb up the sand dune and have a go – with a little help from his dad and sister. This was a magic moment for all of us including me, his mother. I was so inspired standing there watching in wonder and admiration. They really picked up speed going down the dune as you can see from their faces, it was one heck of a ride for them all. And as you can imagine, Daniel does not get to feel speed very often. That magic moment of pure freedom – just priceless! Sent in by Linda, Auckland.

This giant panda baby was the cuddliest baby ever – he sprawled happily in my lap as I held his hand and rubbed his tummy, all the while happily munching away on his honey-coated bamboo. We paid a sizable donation for the privilege of the cuddle, but it was worth every last cent and was my best birthday present ever. Sent in by Diane, Auckland.

This scene of children in Pokhara, Nepal, was taken in 2007 during a year-long trip to India and Nepal. I had been ill with dysentery for a while and went there to recover. My darling grandson James entered the world carrying a burden: his mum was suffering a heart condition during the pregnancy and had to take medication which caused James to be a very sad, listless, and pained little boy for the first year of his life. He cried constantly and could not be soothed. One evening he stopped breathing and had to be given CPR by his father while they waited for the ambulance. But there is a happy ending – the photo I have sent in is of James in his second year. As though someone had switched a light on he became a happy, healthy little man. James now plays rugby, skateboards and does karate, thanks to magic moments and wonderful parents! Sent in by Dianna.

Sent in by David, Whangarei.

cuddly-magic-moments-104

I have three wonderful daughters but always worry they’re not getting enough one-on-one with me as they grow up. So this year’s resolution was to start some magic moments individually. We recently saved so I could take my 8-year-old Caitlin to Sydney! Neither of us had ever been so it was truly magical. I love this photo of Caitlin the day after we arrived, on the Sydney Harbour. She couldn’t believe it when she turned around to see the Opera House. Magic for me anyway! Sent in by Kim, Dunedin.

. Our recent massive snowstorm in Canterbury. This is a photo of our youngest son Max (21 months), it’s his first time in the snow with big brother Johnny (4). The boys just had to race out and experience it, despite lasting only five minutes outside due to the blizzard conditions. They did however have a great time the next few days making snowmen. They snow took a week to disappear totally. What a magical moment! Sent in by Deborah, Darfield.

cuddly-magic-moments-80

. This photo is precious to me as it is the first time my little girl really got to have fun and play in the mud uninhibited. Yes, I did need Cuddly to get the sand out of her clothes afterwards, but this truly is how kids should be – just play to have fun and not worry about how muddy they get. Sent in by Belinda, Auckland.

This is a photo of our amazing girls Taylah (5) and Madison (2) having a rare but priceless “Cuddly Magic Moment”. I have this picture framed up on my hallway wall for when I need a moment to take myself away from the crazy, toy-snatching times that the sisters have, and know that they really do have each other’s back. This picture is of me and my daughter. She was about 10 minutes old. I had to have a C-section after six hours of labour because her heart rate dropped so I thought I was going to lose her. I think with all the stress from the Christchurch earthquakes it made it worse, but she was fine in the end. This is my magic moment because I never thought I could love someone like I love my little girl. The strange thing is, I would go through the pain of labour again as all the pain goes once you see your child. She is 18 months now and her name is Summer Rose. She is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. Sent in by Bonnie, Christchurch.

This is the first time in more than 35 years that I have met and spoken with Richard and the first time I have met Jamie as our family had lost touch with Richard. When Mother passed away, the police assisted us in locating Richard so that we could inform him of our Mother’s passing. It was an amazingly magic moment to be with them! Sent in by Bob, Whangarei.

This photo is of my husband Grady and our daughter Savanna on a very hot summer day in Nelson. I had a giggle taking this photo as they were supposed to be slip ‘n’ sliding but had decided to take some time out together chilling. I love the father and daughter relationship, and I have just noticed our cat in the background too. Magic! Sent in by Carla, Nelson.

My daughter Savanna, aged 8, and Oakley the kitten enjoying Christmas Day last year. In the photo Savanna is loving her new sunglasses – even with the price tag on still – and Oakley is loving the Christmas wrapping paper. This is magical as Christmas every year starts with special family time with all of us: Mum, Dad, Savanna and now Oakley! Sent in by Carla, Nelson.

My magic moment photo was taken last winter when it snowed in Paraparaumu. I ran out and gathered up a snowball and then had to run back inside so a colleague could get a photo. It was so warm inside that it was melting as the photograph was taken! Sent in by Helen, Paraparaumu.

This “magic moment” picture is of my son Tyler (2) who broke his femur (thigh bone). He was in a full cast that went right from below his ribcage to down both legs. It was a very traumatic time for all of us, but especially for him. The reason this picture is a magic moment is because even after everything he had been through, all the pain and trauma, he managed to give us great big smiles, and even managed to stand up and start walking in his cast! (Which as you can tell from the picture, was set at funny angles to heal the bone properly.) He is a trouper, and that moment was so fantastic for us. Sent in by Alicia, Christchurch.

My girls are good children in their name and nature. For a long time they didn’t explore or want to get dirty. I love this photo as it shows them as lively and at that point where they realised it is okay to get a bit grubby when having fun. Dirt washes off, fun feelings stay around! Sent in by Rachel, Auckland.

My cat sleeping in a tub lined with freshly laundered towels using Cuddly. All nice, warm and soft – just like him… Sent in by Karen, New Plymouth.

One my most magical moments was when my daughter Olivia experienced a sparkler for the first time. She was just speechless watching it and so memorised by it. Amazing how such little things can be like magic for kids. She still asks for a sparkler every time her good- girl sticker chart gets full. Luckily we stocked up in November. She still thinks it’s completely amazing every time one starts. Sent in by Nikki, Wellington.

This was the first real holiday that we took as a family. My boys (hubby included) and me – a magical family moment in Queenstown captured on film. The reasonI love this photo is that it really does capture the essence of each member of our family. It’s magical. Sent in by Marise, Wellington.

Christmas dinner is the most magical moment of our family year. As our family has grown we still manage to gather around one table for Christmas dinner. My parents are in their eighties and it is too hard for them to travel so we all go to Akaroa and cook the meal in their home. Good food, great company and wonderful conversation. Sent in by Kathy, Christchurch.

This is the most magic moment in our family’s life, when my partner and myself with family welcomed our little girl into the world. She was two months early and only weighed 1.1kg. We are doing what they call a kangaroo cuddle where mum and baby do their first bonding. It was wonderful! Sent in by Maree, Auckland.

Hanging out in the pools at Utah with my mum and her cousins. Not sure if I need an inflatable ring to help me because my cheeks and arms look self-inflatable. Surely, I look super-cuddly! Sent in by Manu, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-9

This photo is taken from Mt Pauanui which we all made it to the top of a few weeks back! It’s pretty steep and long and not an easy walk for a four-year-old or for Mum or Dad. The seven-year-old was the least bothered by it all. I couldn’t walk for days afterwards! A beautiful spot and a beautiful view over a great place in New Zealand. A magical moment for the family! Sent in by Lynaire, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-8

I was thrilled to capture this photo of my nephew Delshae as he is a real go-getter-never- ever-ever-sits-still little man. This made my day to capture him in his glory. We love how the photo is blurred as that is how our little man lives his life – super-fast. He is a delight in most respects and the other times he tests all of us to capacity! Sent in by Bradie, Opotiki.

My magic moment is on my hen’s weekend in Taupo, where my best friends surprised me with a ride on a jet boat. It was fantastic ride and so fab to be spending it with my besties! We all got very wet with lake water and most definitely needed some nice smelling Cuddly clean clothes afterwards! Sent in by Jody, New Plymouth.

I look at this quite old photograph and see a very special moment which whispers of the enchantment and innocence of childhood. Everything about the image says softness: the hazy focus, the gentleness of the wide-eyed kitten, the dreamy far-away gaze of the little girl (my now grown-up daughter), and the silky, golden summer light. Sent in by Yvette, Hamilton.

cuddly-magic-moments-1

Here is a photo of my husband Brett and our daughter Emily (who was 7 months at the time) going for their first swim together in our pool on Christmas Day – hard to tell who was loving it more! They are now little swim buddies and spent hours in summer splashing around. This is one of my favourite “magic moments” because it is so natural and caught in the moment. I hope you think so too. Sent in by Sarah, Auckland.

This is three-year-old Aurelia Campbell at full steam exploring what can only be described as a children’s wonderland. The tide is out in Kawhia Harbour in the King Country as the sun begins to rise over the bay. It’s colder than it actually looks, but this doesn’t prevent Aurelia’s youthful exuberance from setting a high-tempo pace that her Dad (the photographer) inevitably struggles to keep up with. She is a redhead, after all… Suffice it to say we could have used some Cuddly Magic Moments by day’s end! It was all worth it, though. Sent in by Dave, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-121

All our family (approximately 40 of us) were reunited at my uncle’s gorgeous rural property in Masterton a couple of years ago. It was a perfect summer day/evening and celebrations were followed with a barbecue including an array of meat, salads, and so on. Sent in by Lisa, Napier.

This is one of our magic moments. This was taken sitting at our camp site in our favourite spot in New Zealand over the Christmas holidays. We were fortunate enough to get an amazing site right on the beach and we were able to share our favourite place with good friends who came for the first time. When this photo was taken we were sitting around our camp fire enjoying the breath-taking scenery when we were blessed with this amazing sunset. It’s moments like these when life feels like it couldn’t get any better! What an incredibly beautiful country we have to call home. Sent in by Amy, Taupo.

This is a very special moment of mine. This is my son’s tiny hand with his dad’s wedding ring as a bracelet. After a round of IVF we were blessed to get pregnant, and then at 24 weeks’ gestation I went into labour. Ethan was born weighing 684g (1Ib 8oz). Five months, four surgeries and a lot of intensive care later we finally took our wee boy home to Gisborne. Ethan is now seven and a half. Sent in by Lisa, Gisborne.

My son Andrew and I on Saba Rock, British Virgin Islands. Our family cruised the Caribbean on our boat for a few years and we loved finding a cool island to hang out on and stretch our legs. Our son Andrew has autism and doesn’t give many kisses at all, so this one is very precious to me. Very random and spontaneous on his part, absolutely love it! Sent in by Janine, Whangarei.

This is my most precious magic moment – it is a photo I took of my son Jack holding his baby sister Isabel for the first time at Birthcare, with his Dad. They absolutely adore each other so it was also the start of a huge brotherly-sisterly love. Sent in by Sarah, Auckland.

This photo is of my daughter Summer showering me in rose petals at the Botanic Gardens in Manurewa, Auckland. We were gathering the petals (off the ground of course!) and taking turns showering them on each other, and my husband Sean took the photo. Summer was three years old at the time, and my husband and I got married at the Botanic Gardens not long after this photo was taken, so it has special meaning to us. Sent in by Collette, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-151

This is the best magic moment we’ve caught on camera so far a our very first family photo! I had just arrived home from hospital with our new son Hewitt, and two-year-old Fletcher is having his first cuddle. He was just so stoked to be a big brother! Sent in byAngela, Whangarei.

cuddly-magic-moments-152

This photo is a magic moment because of the eye contact that was happening at the moment it was taken. This is my mother and my son (who was about five months old at the time), in bed in the morning. He was so taken with her chatting to him, you can see in their eyes how intent they are on one another. I just love this shot, it’s nothing flash or posed or with pretty scenery, it’s all about the connection between them. Sent in by Kim, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-153

This picture is from our wedding day – our first look. Meeting my husband alone before our wedding ceremony was magic and quelled our nerves, it’s a special moment just the two of us and our photographer hiding behind the trees. Sent in by Chloe, Auckland.

cuddly-magic-moments-154

My magic moment is of my daughter playing in the leaves at the park recently. Why is it so magic? I think it is magic because these days kids are busy playing on video games or phones, and this is one of those moments that reminds you of the joy of just being a child and the magic of play in its purest form. It’s a moment of nature and kids as it was supposed to be, and then of course needing some Cuddly in the wash to get the clothes smelling fresh again! Sent in by Donna, Rotorua.

cuddly-magic-moments-155

This is my magic moment. Miss had always wanted one of those huge round lollipops. Santa brought her one and shortly after Christmas I found her sharing it with one happy puppy. Some Cuddly cloths were needed to wipe those germs off! Sent in by Emma, Wellington.

This magic moment was taken the morning I nearly took up a new profession in photography. This was after finding out that the education minister was going to increase class sizes! Thank goodness there was a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, the minister backtracked and I remain in the teaching profession. A holiday in Phuket would be another pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. A truly magical moment in 2012. Sent in by Amy, Nelson.

This photo represents a magic moment in my life of when I completed some volunteer work with Soft Power Education in Uganda and visited one of their preschools, set up to provide early childhood education for young Ugandan children as the majority of them are orphans or from one-parent families and have limited opportunities. The children in this class sung Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to me and they were fascinated with my blonde hair and of course my camera. It was very emotional being welcomed by these children into their classroom and culture – definitely a magic moment! Sent in by Tracey, Wellington.
