The couple admits it’s not always smooth sailing when it comes to raising their daughter Ella (12) and son Quinlin (9). In fact, even though they both have glamorous careers, Christine – who has starred in Zoolander and DodgeBall along with Ben – says their kids still think of them as ‘dorks’.
“I said to my daughter, ‘You can talk to me about anything. I’m a cool mom. You don’t have to be embarrassed. You can tell me anything,'” Taylor revealed to People.
“And she goes, ‘You just saying that made you uncool.'”
Taylor added that her and Ben are “at the age where our daughter gets embarrassed of us no matter what we do” – even though she thinks Ben is “definitely” a “cool dad”.
Cool dad or not, Ben has also been open about what it’s like seeing his children grow up and mature.
“I can see aspects of myself in them, but I also see two totally unique individuals. And I wonder how they became so well adjusted,” he joked to Parade magazine in 2013.
