This year marks two decades since JonBenét Ramsey was violently murdered in her family’s basement. But despite the time that’s passed, the case still remains unresolved.
And now a new docu-series, The Case of JonBenét Ramsey, will see investigators revisit the death of the 6-year-old pageant queen in a bid to finally discover what happened to the child.
In a sign of what is set to come out of the CBS production, the trailer features the chilling phone call JonBenét Ramsey’s mother Patsy made on the night of her daughter’s murder, back on Christmas Eve 1996.
The new clip – which was released earlier this week – shows experts planning to further analyse Patsy’s call using new technology, that allows them to strip back the audio and reveal a conversation that happened when the Ramseys thought the call had been disconnected.
The 911 operator who took the call also features in the trailer and tearfully maintains she’s never been questioned by authorities.
“Twenty years, nobody asked me,” the operator says. “I think it would have really turned the case around.”
