Strangers make hospital visit to new mum who texted the wrong number

After a stranger was looped in on a group text about the birth of a newborn, the kindhearted man brought a gift to the hospital for the little bub.

When you text the wrong number, it’s usually quickly forgotten after a moment of awkwardness.

But this man took things a step further and made the trip to meet the people who accidentally included him in one of the most special days of their lives.

A family set up a group text chain when a relative had gone into labour but accidently included the number of a random stranger, Dennis Williams.

The first message said: “We are at the hospital. Having a baby today!”

The stranger realised he’d been looped in on the chain and said: “Congrats lol but I think someone got the wrong number.”

But it didn’t stop there.

The man and the family exchanged a few more messages and in an act of random kindness, he turned up to the hospital to give the newborn a gift!

The family were so blown away by the sweet gesture they shared the story on Facebook.

It read: “I accidentally text a message about Mark and Lindsey having a baby to a number I had in my phone for someone else which now belongs to Mr. Dennis Williams and he and his brother came by to visit us and brought the baby a gift!”

“What a blessing these two guys were to our family… If we all only had this kind of heart.”
