Dear Wendyl,
All of my three kids are now at school and I really want to go to university and do the study I missed out on when I got pregnant at 17. But my husband refuses to understand why I feel I need to study and says we can’t afford it. It’s as if he wants me to be a housewife forever. Please help me.

Dear Daisy,
I thought I had travelled back to the 1950s for a moment while reading your letter. You’re a woman, you can most definitely study, and you can get a student loan to do it. You don’t need your husband’s permission to do that.
