Love Actually was recently named New Zealanders’ favourite rom-com, and we have to admit – we completely adore this soppy Christmas tale.
And in the spirit of telling the truth at Christmas, coming clean to the person you love and putting yourself out there, one cafe worker has put herself on the line – just like the characters of the British rom-com.
One diner got a front row seat to the co-worker confessing her undying love to another. And boy is it beautiful.
Twitter user @notjerryclayton tweeted the whole exchange, so that we at home could enjoy this blossoming romance too.
“I’m the only one in this café and the girl employee just told the guy employee she has a crush on him…” he wrote.
“He asked how long and she said six months.”
So if you’re in need of a little courage this Christmas – maybe to tell that special person how you feel – take heed of this story.
