The city I’d love to live in is…
I currently live in Maketu and I absolutely love it. It’s so peaceful and quiet. I definitely love visiting cities, but I don’t think I’d like to permanently live in one. But if I did, I’d choose either Paris or New York. I love the vibe of both of these places and they also have amazing food!
Top of my bucket list is…
Santorini
If I were stranded on a tropical island, I’d need…

My favourite quote or poem is…
‘Work hard, play hard’.
It’s a classic Dad quote – he’d say this to us every day when we were going to school.

Angelina Jolie
The best birthday I ever had was…
…dining at Ultraviolet in Shanghai in 2016 after we won Best TV Cookbook at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. It was a really special time for us and the dinner at Ultraviolet is one of the highlight dining experiences of my life.
My #1 heroine is…

My typical working week…
I don’t have a typical working week. When we’re filming, it’s full-on travelling and filming in different countries, whereas when we’re in New Zealand, a week can consist of photo shoots at home, menu designing, and travelling to Auckland or around the country for different speaking and presenting events. We also spend a lot of time with our family in Maketu, where we have shared dinners every night at my parents’ house. I love the flexibility and variety of things we get to do day to day.
My last-supper meal would be…
Probably a glorious seafood platter with oysters, crayfish, fresh fish and squid.
My advice to my younger self is…
Stop worrying so much – everything will work out.
My favourite day of the week is…
Sunday
The movie I’ve watched the most in my life is…
Ratatouille. I was actually watching this when we applied for MasterChef.
