Health news: Take a walk

Taking a walk outside can be better for you than a cup of coffee.

A new study published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology found fresh air gives people a greater sense of vitality and also makes them more resilient to physical illnesses.

An author of the study, Richard Ryan, says, “One of the pathways to health may be to spend more time in natural settings. We have a natural connection with living things,”

Ryan adds. “Nature is something within which we flourish, so having it be more a part of our lives is critical, especially when we live and work in built environments.”
