Anti-body shamming photo series goes viral

Project: Self Love is a painful reminder of hurtful things we say to one another based on these unnecessary standards.

An American photographer has worked to continue the conversation about body shamming, with her latest photo series being shared on Facebook almost 300,000 times.

Jess Fielder asked a group of women to pose in just their underwear, and hold cards emblazoned with something another person “said to them in their lives about their bodies that impacted their self-confidence negatively,” the photographer shared on her Facebook page.

“These women were willing to bare not just their bodies but a little bit of their hearts for this project,” Fielder said.
