With summer officially underway, it’s a timely reminder to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays when out enjoying a day at the beach, bach or a BBQ with friends and family.
Here are three tips from the team at Specsavers to consider when choosing new sunglasses to suit your face.
1. Your eyebrows should be almost completely covered by the top part of the frame. This is flattering to the facial features of most face shapes. It also minimises the appearance of larger features and gives balance to a longer face.
2. Ensure your prescription sunglasses fit correctly on your face and give good coverage.
3. Check with your optometrist to ensure your prescription sunglasses offer UV protection. Polarised lenses eliminate 99.9% of glare by reflected light, and offer 100% UV protection for your eyes.
