My beauty philosophy is… Always wash your face before going to bed, no matter how tired you are, and never scrimp on eye and night creams because these are the products that really make a difference.

The skincare products I can’t live without are… First, my basics: CosMedix Benefit Clean Gentle Cleanser and Clarity Serum for any blemishes. Then for daytime moisture and protection I use Aspect Dr Active C Serum and Aspect Extreme B17 Serum. Night-time, I use Aspect Dr Exfol A Plus Serum and CosMedix Serum 16; and my day and night eye cream is SkinMedica Eye Repair, which I swear by. Yes, I’m serious about my skincare as you only get one face, but the proof is in the results. Often I get told how lovely my skin is or am mistaken for being younger.

My haircare secret is… Less is more. Hair can look dull and overstated with too much styling. I address frizz and shine and that’s about it, so I’m a Kérastase girl all the way.

The must-have products in my make-up bag are… Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara, Karen MuRrell lipsticks (any shade, love them all), Bella Vi Mineral Powder and MAC Eyeliner.

My favourite beauty treat is… A facial with my therapist Robyn at Elements Spa in Auckland. Divine and I feel years younger!

My biggest beauty sin is… Lash extensions. They’re my fortnightly addiction and my sinful indulgence. I can’t live without them. I’ve tried every lotion, potion and wand but I’m allergic to them all.

The best thing my mother taught me about beauty was… Never try to be something you’re not – always celebrate your unique beauty and emphasise your assets.
