Jennifer Lawrence is a no-nonsense gal when it comes to skincare, describing her daily routine as, “I wash my face, then moisturise.” But the Joy actress admits she loves make-up and, as a spokesmodel for Dior, she tells Woman’s Day why she’s part of the luxury brand’s Dior Addict Lipstick campaign.
What does representing Dior mean to you?
I grew up seeing movie stars wear Dior clothes and it was just so glamorous. It’s truly an honour for me.
Dior embodies sensuality and youth. How did you approach your role as their new spokesmodel?
The same way I approach everything else! I’m going to be genuine.
What do you value about your age group?
Even though I don’t engage in social media, it’s been a huge part of letting our generation realise that they have a voice.
What’s the make-up item you can’t live without?
I love mascara and I swear by Dior Addict Lipstick. It’s quick and easy to apply, in the spirit of “I don’t care, but don’t I look amazing?”
How do you prepare for your appearances?
I think it’s important to give a hairstylist and make-up artist enough time. My dad calls my team the “pit crew”.
What do you think makes a person beautiful?
Confidence makes someone sexy and beautiful. When you feel amazing, it shows.

Boost radiance
Adding a drop of face oil to foundation breaks down the pigment, creating a look that’s more sheer.
Thicken eyelashes
Curl, then coat lashes in loose powder using a big, fluffy brush. Paint on two coats of mascara.
Make your manicure last longer
Prep the nails with nail-polish remover, then apply only thin coats.
Smoke ’em out
Trace both lashlines with eyeliner, then blink to make tears that help blend the liner out.
