Karl Lagerfeld seems to have opted for a totally different direction with Chanel’s latest ad for their No. 5 perfume, which features Gisele in the place of previous spokespeson Brad Pitt.
With Aussie director Baz Luhrmann at the helm, Chanel have produced a lush three-minute-long ‘film’ showcasing Gisele and the No. 5 scent in a variety of gorgeous locations.
It’s opulent, romantic and suitably dramatic – and it couldn’t be further away from Brad’s turn as the face of the perfume, which saw him reciting lines like “the world turns and we turn with it” in a darkened room.
This time, there’s no dialogue at all – just singer Lo-Fang doing a stripped back rendition of Grease‘s ‘You’re the One that I Want’.
It’s the perfect sultry background to let Gisele – and her No. 5 costar Michiel Huisman – shine.
