Snobby sisters Katrina Dunlop and Natasha Gorrie were taken down a peg or two last night as they became only the second team to be sent packing from My Kitchen Rules New Zealand 2015.
The siblings, from Auckland’s upmarket suburb of Remuera, showed off their taste for the finer things in life with a flashy Instant Restaurant dubbed Martini after their tipple of choice.
But while their presentation was on point, their food didn’t quite hit the spot, with judges Gareth Stewart and Ben Bayly quickly picking up on its lack of seasoning.
“No salt is like a Lamborghini with no petrol,” Ben told the glamorous girls.
Left speechless when their total score amounted to a measly 60, five points behind fellow sister duo Brooke and Kimberley, the pretty pair quickly said their goodbyes and took off their aprons.
However, older sister Natasha insists the experience hasn’t put them off their foodie dreams.
“It’s been an amazing journey. We’ve definitely had a lot of fun and it’s been good to do it together. We’re still going to cook together. We love it – so why stop something good.”
