Geordie Shore’s Gaz reveals what happened when he was deported from NZ

Last week the controversial reality TV star Gaz Beadle was forced to cancel promotional events in New Zealand after he was detained in Australia.

Gaz originally claimed that on arriving in New Zealand he was turned away due to a “battered” passport.

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) confirmed that he was denied entering the country when he arrived in Queenstown from Australia on Tuesday.

“There are certain conditions that all temporary visitors to New Zealand must meet in order to be eligible for entry. The onus is on the visitor to satisfy INZ that they meet all of the entry requirements at the time they travel to New Zealand. Mr Beadle did not meet these requirements. He was put on a flight back to Australia [on Wednesday] afternoon after being released on conditions which allowed him to spend [Tuesday] night at his pre-arranged accommodation,” said an INZ spokesperson

He had been scheduled to appear at The Edge‘s One Night Stand Party in Auckland last Thursday night.

On returning to Australia he was reportedly forced into a deportation centre.

“I walked into this place that was on a military base and was led to a room full of bunk beds with four other guys in it. I was given a bin bag with my bedding in, that’s when it hit me. All that was running through my head was panic. I was stripped of everything. It didn’t matter who you were, you were just a number. In fact, I was A17,” he said, writing for the Daily Star .

While Gaz was released after one day in custody, one of his bunkmates had reportedly been held in the facility for over three years.

Gaz was then escorted out of the detainment centre by authorities.

“We got to the airport and I was physically taken onto the plane by immigration officials, properly felt like I was on the Most Wanted list,” he said.

Gaz was unable to return to England as he was reportedly denied from flying through NZ, Dubai, America, Abu Dhabi, or internally through Australia. He was eventually permitted to fly through Thailand on Thai airways.

“Once I landed in Bangkok, I was escorted to immigration and had my passport removed from me,” he revealed.

Gaz has offered words of advice to his fans that are planning on travelling overseas.

“Kids, when a country tells you you’re not coming in with your f***ed-up passport ever again, I think you should listen to them.”
