MediaWorks are seeking applications from females aged between 21 and 35 who are “genuinely looking for love”. As was the case with season one, the identity of the Bachelor himself will remain a close-kept secret until the show airs its debut episode in the first half of next year.

Season one Bachelor Arthur Green, who is still happily in love with his final Bachelorette Matilda Rice, has offered up some sage advice for any potential Bachelorettes.

“Just relax and be a confident version of yourself. Think carefully, it is a big decision and quite possibly life changing – there is a very real possibility that you will meet someone special,” he says.

Similar to last year, successful applicants for The Bachelor NZ season two will enjoy a series of group dates, one-on-ones and those nail-biting rose ceremonies as the show progresses. A romantic getaway with the Bachelor will be on the cards towards the end of the series, and from there, the final two Bachelorettes will be whisked away on an “adventure date” before the final decision is made.

The Bachelor NZ was the breakout hit of 2015 and we go into a second season knowing this show works, not only with the audience but also finding love,” says Andrew Szusterman, MediaWorks group entertainment content director.

“Art and Matilda are complete proof of that. If you’ve been thinking about being a part of the next season of The Bachelor NZ I encourage you to register, it really could be you next time.”
