In the years since Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William wed at Westminster Abbey, there are at least three moments that have stood the test of time.
The first is obviously the nuptials, then a close second is Pippa Middleton wearing that figure-hugging dress, and finally, Princess Beatrice’s unique headpiece.
At 22 years old, she arrived at the ceremony in a sensible pink Valentino Haute Couture dress, which she styled with a Philip Treacy hat that was compared to a toilet seat, a pretzel and fallopian tubes.
Perhaps the headlines were a little harsh on the royal – at least the piece wasn’t boring.
As a lower-ranking royal, Beatrice can enjoy a more relaxed wardrobe, including silk midi-dresses, shorter hemlines, and high slits.
Of course, when she’s on duty and at family events, her outfits are in line with the strict protocol her royal relatives follow every day.
However, royal fans have noticed that over the years the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson isn’t afraid to inject a little personality into her looks.
At the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, eagle-eyed fans spotted that her Sophia Webster clutch bag was a sweet nod to husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and read “Wifey for Lifey” in big font across it.
Speaking of her husband, Beatrice’s thoughtful and creative fashion was highlighted on her wedding day.
The princess tied the knot on July 17, 2020 in the midst of lockdown, but that didn’t stop her looking radiant.
Royal fans were thrilled to discover that the bride had opted to wear her grandmother the Queen’s vintage dress by Norman Hartnell that she’d previously worn in the 1960s and styled the ivory Duchess satin with organza sleeves.
Beatrice accessorised the look with a diamond fringe tiara worn by Queen Mary on loan from the Queen – the same tiara Her Majesty wore on her own wedding day to Prince Philip.
To celebrate Princess Beatrice’s inventive and bow-tiful style – here are her best fashion moments of all time.
