Swear words aren’t exactly regal language, but that didn’t seem to worry Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, when an interview of he and his younger brother aired in Britain on Monday night.
The documentary Ant and Dec Met the Prince: 40 Years of the Prince’s Trust saw the two sit down for a laidback chat with UK funny duo, Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, to talk about Prince Charles, the brothers’ father.
When discussing the letters the Princes received from their father during their Eton schooldays, they jokingly reminisced about how notoriously difficult it was to read Prince Charles’ writing.
William told Ant and Dec that it was clear to them when Prince Charles would fall asleep mid-penmanship.
“As it gets later in the evening, when it’s about 12 o’clock he’s writing letters, we can tell instantly because it starts going off the page when he’s falling asleep,” William said.
Harry then chimed in, adding that the two boys would swap letters, working hard to decipher what their father had written – just in case they were in trouble and the letters contained a “b—-king” as William put it.
