While the rest of the world holds its breath for the arrival of the second royal baby, at least one member of the royal family will have to wait a little longer to see him or her!
After first stopping in Turkey for the centenary commemorations of the Gallipoli campaign, Prince Harry had returned to the UK for a brief visit over the weekend. Duchess Catherine was rumoured to be due on Saturday, but despite prolonging his stay in the UK for as long as possible, it seems Harry will have to miss the birth of his latest niece or nephew this time.
The royal has now left to return to Australia, where he is on a placement with the Australian Defence Force. Following that, he’ll fly here to New Zealand for a week-long official tour – which means he won’t be able to go back and see his new niece or nephew until mid-May!
Although he’ll miss out on greeting the royal baby, Prince Harry did at least get to spend some time with his adorable nephew while he was back at home. The Daily Mail reports the two spent time together at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s apartment at Kensington Palace, before Harry departed for Australia.
