Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s life may seem anything but simple, but the 36-year-old royal admits her favourite days are spent with her three young children, Prince George, four, Princess Charlotte, three, and newborn Prince Louis.

“Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish,” Kate wrote in a new letter released for the UK’s Children’s Hospice Week.

“The theme of Children’s Hospice Week this year is ‘Life’s Short’ and I am touched that children and young people are sharing what they love most in life and reminding us of how precious time is for everyone,” Prince William’s wife added in her statement. “By supporting Children’s Hospice Week we can help them spread joy and positivity across the UK, encouraging everyone to make the most of moments that matter.”

William, 35, and Kate tied the knot in April 2011, welcomed son George in July 2013, daughter Charlotte in May 2015, and son Louis in April 2018. The Duchess — who has supported children’s hospices and palliative care charities for years — also works to destigmatize mental health issues through her royal work.

Kate, William, George and Charlotte were recently pictured together at the royal wedding.

The Duchess, 36, was last pictured with newborn Prince Louis just hours after his birth.

In a previous interview, Kate candidly opened up about the challenges of motherhood and admitted being a parent can be “lonely at times” and has left her feeling “quite isolated” in the past.

As for their personal parenting styles, Kate and William both ensure that their children don’t spend too much time playing on iPads and instead encourage creativity and outdoor activities.

“As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment, they’re firm believers in toys, outdoor play, and encouraging an active imagination,” a royal source previously revealed.

In the past, Kate and William have also confessed that George “is fascinated by fencing” and “is very good at arts and crafts,” while Charlotte enjoys horseback riding.
