What is Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful about?
The pop-opera album Something Beautiful marks a new chapter for Miley, who transitioned from her country-pop roots in 2013 with her risque performance of Wrecking Ball at the VMAs. More recently, she embraced a synth-pop and glam rock-inspired sound with her 2020 album Plastic Hearts.
The Something Beautiful film draws inspiration from Pink Floyd’s The Wall and is described by Disney+ as “a one-of-a-kind pop opera fueled by fantasy”. Blending music with poetic narrations, it explores themes of love, heartbreak, stardom and self-discovery.
