Entertainment Tonight confirmed the exciting news revealing that “mother and baby are said to both be doing well.”
An insider told ET that the wrestler-turned-actor “was very emotional and excited seeing his newborn daughter for the first time” before adding, “both parents are said to be beyond happy for this next chapter in their lives.”
Last month, the hunky actor revealed he was set to become a dad for the second time, taking to Instagram to share the delightful news.
“I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more… IT’S A BABY GIRL!!!” he captioned a selfie with Lauren showing off her bump.
Regraming the same snap, Lauren gave her Instagram followers an insight into her pregnancy.
“So grateful and in awe of this time. To experience creating a little life is just incredible,” she wrote over the weekend.
“This beautiful cycle of life and womanhood beginning again. And like Big Daddy says – Couldn’t be prouder of all the kickass women she’s going to have around her! And men of course ;)…”
Like her partner, Lauren showed her funny side by adding the hashtag, “Let’s just hope big daddy doesn’t equal 20 pound baby!”
The family’s new addition marks the first child for Lauren and the second for Dwayne, who shares 14-year-old daughter Simone with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
Just a few weeks ago the fit actor spoke of his love for his partner of eight years.
“I wake up every day so grateful and so thankful that you have someone like [her]. Someone who you can walk through the world with,” the 43-year-old gushed, calling the relationship his “most prized thing.”
Grinning he added, “The smile is real when I think about that.”
