While reports claim that Naz Khanjani her boyfriend Craig Sutherland have split after five months together, Naz has broken her silence and denied the couple are finished for good.
“Sometimes these things happen in the heat of the moment, when someone has an argument. But, yeah, I’m not going to say if we’re together or broken up, that’s personal,” she told Newshub.
While the pair have always heavily documented their whirlwind romance on social media and regularly post romantic photos together, they have since removed each other from their Facebook profile photos.
“All I’ve got to say is it’s best not to jump to any conclusions. I love Craig and he loves me and I’ll leave it at that,” said Naz.
“Just like any other relationship, there’s hiccups. We just need a bit of space, neither Craig or I want to comment,” she says.
“I’ve got to respect Craig’s wishes, his family’s wishes, my family’s wishes and myself – and we don’t want to comment on anything.”
The former landscaper famously made it to the top two on this year’s season of The Bachelor only to be dumped by Jordan Mauger for Fleur Verhoeven.
Naz then went on to meet digital marketing consultant and part-time stripper Craig at a dinner party with mutual friends, and sparks flew.
In August the lovebirds were even spotted shopping for engagement rings.
They had tried to manage a long-distance relationship, with the two living in opposite ends of the country – Craig in Auckland and Naz in Christchurch.
In September Woman’s Day caught up with the couple, and it was clear Craig couldn’t have been more smitten with the reality star.
“She’s the most amazing person I’ve ever met,” 31-year-old Craig gushed of his feisty sweetheart.
“Yes, she’s a strong woman, but she’s just so positive, caring and genuine. I’ve never felt this kind of connection with anyone before.”
Naz however, confessed that she wasn’t yet ready to fully commit to Craig.
“We’re not engaged,” she says. “Craig has told me he’s in love with me – he’s popped the L word, but I haven’t said it back yet. My feelings towards him are so strong, but I don’t say it back to him yet.”
