She thought they were a match made in bronzed skin heaven, but Claudia’s hasty elimination on The Bachelor New Zealand last night completely floored the fashion blogger.

“It was heartbreaking – I was completely shocked,” the 29-year-old tells Woman’s Day. “I was grabbing Shari’s hand to comfort her because I thought it was her going home, but then Jordan called her name, not mine, and I was like, ‘Woah’.

“I was so confident that I hadn’t prepared anything to say if did leave, so in that moment I was trying to come up with something in my head.”

The bronzed beauty, who asserted herself as Naz’s trusty sidekick on the TV3 show, believes the handsome bachelor sent the wrong girl packing.

“He definitely made the wrong choice,” she says. “I feel like I had a lot to offer and it’s a shame he didn’t get to see how great we could have been.

“I wanted to get to know him more because he’s my type of guy – smart funny, adventurous, good looking, loves to travel, and he has a great tan of course.”

Indeed, who could forget the bachelorette’s comment about their equally olive complexions making her and Jordan the perfect match.

“What can I say, I’m a tanorexic,” smiles Claudia. “I chase the sun, when the sun comes out, I come out. And in winter, I holiday, that’s why I split my time between Bali and New Zealand.”
