Kiwi star Rhys Darby has shed light on whether we can expect a Flight of the Conchords movie, after speaking to a UK news outlet this week.
The 42-year-old, who is best known overseas for his role as ineffectual band managed Murray Hewitt, told Metro that he thinks a movie “definitely will happen at some point,” but has no idea when that will be.
Co-creators Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have previously confirmed they started writing a movie, but nothing has been of the project since.
Rhys speculated that the pair have been too busy touring to put together a feature film too, but is confident the pair have plenty of material to fill one.
“We just need to get together at some point and make it,” he added.
Rhys is currently on the promo circuit for the blockbuster Jumanji remake, also starring Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black.
