Paul McCartney was turned away from Tyga’s Grammys after party

It looks like the Beatles legend wasn’t ‘VIP’ enough for Tyga!

Paul McCartney was one of many stars rolling up to various after parties following the 58th Annual Grammy Awards yesterday – but shockingly, the music icon was refused entry to rapper Tyga’s bash!

A video captured by TMZ shows the artist waiting outside the venue with pals Beck (who won Album of the Year last year) and Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the band Foo Fighters.

Unfortunately, the burly bodyguard at the door of the nightclub refuses to let the posse in – although Paul didn’t seem to take the rejection too much to heart.

“How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit,” he quipped, before leading the group to a waiting car.

Later, TMZ asked Tyga himself what he thought about Paul McCartney being denied entry into his after party, but the rapper (and Kylie Jenner’s beau) wasn’t fazed.

“Maybe it’s the fact that we’re younger than Paul … and we really club and we really go out,” Tyga’s pal Bow Wow later said when he was asked about the incident.

Tyga has since taken to Twitter to tell his side of the story.

“I don’t control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there,” he wrote.

“I just performed and left.”
