For her role as a woman suffering chronic pain in the film Cake, Jennifer Aniston leapt out of her comfort zone – and it certainly marks a change from the raunchy comedies and rom-coms we’re used to seeing her in!
To play the lead in Cake, Jennifer ditched her usual movie star glamour for no makeup, greasy hair and drab clothes.
“It was the hardest job I’ve ever taken on and I’ve loved every second of it,” the actress revealed to E! News, adding that it made her grateful for her good health.
It all seems to be paying off now though, as the film premiered to a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival. Even better, her performance has prompted early speculation about a possible Oscar nomination – something Jennifer says she’s “awkwardly and stutteringly” flattered by, according to People.
