A huge congratulations is in order for Michelle Williams. The actress is engaged to Andrew Youmans, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly.
Andrew, an investor and financial consultant, graduated from both Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School — talk about a high-achiever!
“She wants a good guy and a stable family life,” an insider told Us Weekly.
The duo have been notoriously private about their romance, and have yet to publicly confirm their relationship let alone engagement.
However, paparazzi did snap them enjoying one another’s company mid-way through last year while in Rome. They were also pictured on a New Year’s Eve getaway in the Bahamas with Matilda, Michelle’s 12-year-old daughter with the late Heath Ledger.
The actress was also spotted wearing quite the sparkler on that all-important finger at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. She told reporters it was simply “beautiful jewelry,” brushing off any speculation — but we think the jig’s up now!
The engagement comes almost exactly 10 years after Heath Ledger’s death in January 2008. Michelle and Heath had broken up just weeks before his untimely passing.
“Michelle was totally focused on giving Matilda the best upbringing possible,” a friend told Us Weekly. Another confidante added, “It took her a long time to get over Heath.”
The good news follows what has likely been an exhaustive couple of weeks for the multi-award winning actress.
It recently emerged there was a staggering difference in salaries — millions in fact — between Mark Wahlberg and Michelle on their latest project, the 10-day reshoot of Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World.
Mark reportedly managed to be paid $2 million for the reshoot while the single-mother travelled to Italy over Thanksgiving for just $80 a day – the minimum amount a SAG/AFTRA actor must be paid per day.
Agency WME represents both Mark and Michelle so everyone in the mix was reportedly well aware she was paid just 0.04% of her male co-star’s salary.

Michelle said she felt so invigorated the film was taking a proactive stance in the wake of the Kevin Spacey allegations she would work for free on the reshoot. She stressed she was prepared to sacrifice both her holidays and pay given the situation, but the actress is understood to have thought everyone was donating their time for the reshoots.
In fact, the director himself seemed to be under the impression everyone was doing the reshoot for free based on interviews he’s given while promoting the film.
Michelle was nominated for the Best Actress in a Drama Globe thanks to her role in the movie and took #MeToo founder Tarana Burke as her date to the ceremony.
“I thought I would have to raise my daughter to learn how to protect herself in a dangerous world, but I think the work that Tarana has done and the work that I’m learning how to do — we actually have the opportunity to hand our children a different world,” Michelle said on the E! red carpet pre-show.
“I am honoured beyond measure to be standing next to this woman. I have tears in my eyes and smile on my face.”
