Mariah Carey confesses watching her TV show is “bittersweet”

The recently single songstress has admitted it's not easy watching her life unfold on the small screen

In the span of a year she fell in love, became engaged and then had her heart broken – and it was all captured on film for her new reality show, Mariah’s World.

The singer sat down with Entertainment Tonight, where she touched on what it was like watching herself back as she planned her now-very cancelled wedding.

“All of those moments are bittersweet,” she mused, “but you just have to focus on whatever you’re focusing on and keep it moving.”

But for Mariah, who split up with ex-fiancé James Packer in October, the show isn’t just about her love life, rather it focuses more on her incredible career.

“The stories [are] interesting because it shows the side of the entertainment world that’s not just the celebrity [aspect],” the 46-year-old explained.

“It’s real [and] I don’t feel like it feels like a scripted kind of reality [show] whatsoever.”

And while fans can’t wait to learn more about the diva’s professional life, there’s one personal question that’s on everyone’s lips.

“Would you keep the ring, because I would,” the reporter quipped about her dazzling 35-carat diamond engagement ring, given to her by the Aussie tycoon.

Not missing a beat, Mimi replied, “Well, then you just answered your question for yourself!”

While Mimi may be single, the starlet is focusing on something other than her love life – her family.

Mariah recently reunited with her ex-husband Nick Cannon, along with five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, so that they could all celebrate thanksgiving together.

Sharing a snap into the sweet day, the We Belong Together singer posted a video on Instagram wishing her fans a happy thanksgiving.

“We’ll always be family,” Nick, who spent last year’s holidays with his former wife and kids, told Ellen DeGeneres.

“We make the kids the number one priority, for them to see their parents together and for everybody to get along and have a great time.”

Adding, “It’s all about unconditional love. …They know mummy and daddy still love each other but, more importantly, they love us.”

At least Mimi is friendly with one ex…
