After playing a married couple on hit TV show Fargo, it’s been a case of life imitating art for actress Kirsten Dunst and her co-star Jesse Plemons.
The couple, who began dating in 2016, reportedly got engaged over Golden Globes weekend, after becoming friends on the set of Fargo back in 2015.
Reports from Page Six that the couple are to wed have been further fuelled by photos of Kirsten sporting a diamond ring earlier this month.
Their union went public back in May 2016, when Kirsten was spotted kissing the 28-year-old actor during a party.
The romance came as a shock to many fans of the actress, 34, who had split with her partner of four years just one month before.
Kirsten had dated her On the Road co-star Garrett Hedlund for four years until April 2016, after they met on the set of the hit movie back in 2012.
At the time she said of the romance: “I feel like we’re good at doing our own thing but also at coming together. In other relationships … just we were too enmeshed. We had to do everything together … I see reflected in him what I see in myself – sensitivity and someone who’s family-oriented.”
The star has also previously opened up about her dreams of settling down and starting a family, telling press: “’I am someone who wants to get married. If it happens in my mid-to-late 30s, it’s going to be intimate.
“Court house, dinner party and DJ with friends and family. I’ll treat it like it would be my 40th birthday.”
Jesse, who has starred in hit TV series Breaking Bad and Friday Night Lights, also had big breaks in films Black Mass and Bridge of Spies.
There has been no official confirmation from either party at the time of publication.
