Kim Kardashian’s baby is no longer breech after painful procedure

Kim Kardashian’s baby boy is no longer breech, but it took a painful procedure to turn the kid around!

The 35-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star revealed the latest Baby West update on Tuesday via her website.

“So I wanted to give you guys an update on my pregnancy since my last post,” Kim wrote. “This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position. They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby.”

The soon-to-be mum of two will be feeling relieved at the success of the procedure, given that if her son was breech come birth time, she would require a C-section – and Kim really didn’t want one. “Obviously, if it’s an emergency and for the safety of my son, I will get a C-section—but if I don’t need one, I’d rather not,” she penned on her website last week.

But as it turns out, she might have needed one during the ECV if things didn’t go according to plan. “There was a risk that my water might break or the baby’s heart rate could drop—in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place. I went in with my sisters and my husband [Kanye West]. I was prepared for it all!” she said. “They don’t give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth.”

Not to fear, the mum to two-year-old North West is in the clear for now.

All there is to do is wait… and guess what she’ll name her son, who is supposedly due on Christmas Day.

Yeezus, anyone?
