Kim Kardashian has revealed she is planning her third child, but due to health complications she is considering using a surrogate.
On Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim revealed that she’s ready to expand her family, but her doctors warn her of the serious health risks of carrying another baby.
During her previous two pregnancies, Kim suffered preclampsia and placenta acreeta, high-risk pregnancy complications which resulted in serious issues with her uterus.
“You never know if you might have the same type of problem that could be more serious this time,” her doctor warned her.
“You’re always taking a little bit of a chance. There are situations where retained placenta could be life or death.”
“You could bleed to death,” Kris added.
The mum-of-two then opted to get a second opinion from fertility specialist. Dr. Wong who suggested using a surrogate, due to the high risks a third pregnancy would create.
“Using a surrogate is not an unreasonable option,” he told Kim. “If our goal is to grow your family like you want to, then a surrogate makes sense.”

“If the two doctors, that I trust, have told me it wouldn’t be safe for me to get pregnant again, I have to listen to that,” Kim revealed during her interview. “But because I don’t know anyone that has been a surrogate or used one, I didn’t really think about that as an option for me.”
The 36-year-old then admitted she has fears about using a surrogate, in case she doesn’t love them child like her two children North and Saint who she carried and delivered naturally.
“I’m more worried, because I gave birth to two. There’s a sense in me that because I went through all that pain for these two babies and that I know we did this together…”
“There’s no one that would feel your love [like this baby], they are literally near your heart and inside of you.”
“My bond with my kids is so strong,”she continued. “I think my biggest fear is that if I had a surrogate is, would I love them the same? That’s the main thing I keep thinking about.”
Kim went on to discuss her options with her mother Kris.
“I’ve come to the conclusion in my mind that I can’t carry another one. So now I want to explore surrogacy,” Kim told her mum.
“That scares me for you,” said Kris.
“What if she gives birth and then grabs the baby and makes a run for it?”
“I don’t think she can,” Kim reassured Kris. “Also, the best thing, I could have a new baby and have no one know and live my life for a good year before we announce it.
“But I don’t know if it’s for me,” she continued. “I really don’t know.”
Kim shares two children with husband Kanye West, three-year-old North and baby Saint, who is nearly one.
