Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson’s relationship has gone through plenty of ups and downs, but their marriage was really put to the test last year when rumours emerged that Hank had cheated with a transgender model.
At the time, Kendra was eight months pregnant with the couple’s second child, Alijah, and the two almost broke up for good over the explosive scandal.
Now the couple are speaking out about what really happened, and Hank says there’s much more to the story than what came out in the media.
“I messed up. I put myself in a bad situation,” he told People.
“And everything through me brought pain upon this family.”
According to Hank, he had run into a couple smoking marijuana at the grocery store. He asked them where he could buy some and they directed him to an address.
When he got to the house, Hank says a naked transgender woman opened the door and proceeded to fondle him through his basketball shorts, and he simply froze.
“I don’t know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out,” he told People.
Hank says the incident humiliated him and he found it hard to speak the truth, even after the stories came out accusing him of cheating.
While the scandal almost drove them apart for good, Kendra is standing by her husband.
“I’m finding the trust again. And I’m actually very happy Hank went through this now because he’s able to teach his son and his daughter what it’s like to make a mistake and what you do after making a mistake,” she told People.
