Katie Holmes and her not-so-secret-secret boyfriend, Jamie Foxx, have been spotted on a cosy dinner date in NYC.
The coy couple were snapped by celeb blog Fameolous enjoying a quiet dinner in the East Village on Sunday, April 2.
In the snap, the actress grins as she chats to her companion. Keeping a low profile, the 38-year-old was dressed down in a black jacket, a sleek ponytail and a pair of glasses.
Jamie, 49, is pictured side on, so is a little harder to distinguish, however his trademark white hat can be seen – aka the same white hat he’s rocking in his most recent Instagram post (above).
The pair, who have been rumoured to have been together since 2013, are reportedly keeping their romance under wraps until Katie’s divorce contract with ex Tom Cruise ends in later this year.
Gossip website Radar Online claims a clause in Katie’s divorce settlement states that she cannot “embarrass” her ex-husband in any way, which includes getting a new boyfriend.
“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” a source told Radar.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri.
“Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms — and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself,” the insider concluded.
According to reports, the actress isn’t allowed to go public with a boyfriend for five years after her divorce from Tom Cruise.
No word yet on how Tom feels about the duo stepping out in public this week but according to E! News, their relationship is “not a secret among their friends.”
Last year, things got particularly weird when Jami’s pal Claudia Jordan pretty much confirmed J-Kat were dating.
“He is very happy with her. I love that he seems very happy,” she said at the time.
A few days later, she mysteriously retracted her statement and said she “misspoke.”
We bet Katie and Jamie are counting down until August 20, 2016 – the official date which marks five years since her divorce from Tom Cruise.
Until then, it’s more clandestine dates in dark corners wearing over-sized hats.
The actress has full custody of her daughter Suri.
