Kate Beckinsale ‘s husband Len Wiseman has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
“They are still friendly and spend time together in L.A. when Kate is there,” a source told People
“There has been no drama. It’s just not Kate’s style. They have both had complicated schedules and have grown apart.”
Len’s court documents state that he and Kate have both waived any right to spousal support, and according to TMZ, this decision suggests there is a prenup.
The couple met in 2003 while filming vampire flick Underworld, which Len directed and Kate starred in.
They married a year later and while they do not have any children together, Kate has a 16-year-old daughter, Lily, with former partner Michael Sheen
.
“Kate is not dating and only focused on her daughter and work,” says the source.
“Len’s primary concern in all of this is Lily. He loves his stepdaughter and is there for her,” says a second source.
Earlier this year we reported that the pair had been living apart for several months, and that Len had been spotted spending time with 24-year-old model CJ Franco and had removed his wedding ring.
A source told People that Len and CJ “have a genuine connection based on a friendship.”
