Jennifer Aniston has maintained a dignified silence following the news her ex-husband Brad Pitt has split with wife Angelina Jolie.
But as Jennifer’s second husband, Justin Theroux, attended interviews to promote his latest film The Girl On The Train, he let something slip about his opinion over the breakup.
Talking to Business Insider, Justin said of the split:
“As a child of divorce, all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children, and that’s all you can really say,” he said.
“It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time. That’s horrible.”
Angelina filed for divorce from Brad earlier this month, just two years after the couple married at a chateau in France.
Brad and Angelina were together for over a decade, after falling in love on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith. They also share six children together: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
And of his wife being dragged into the headlines during the split, Justin said “there are far more important things going on in the world.”
On Monday evening, it seemed Justin and Jennifer were focused on these things – as they invited his Girl On The train co-star Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski round to watch the presidential debate between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump.
