Israel and Daisy Dagg are going to be parents!
The proud All Black and his gorgeous girl are expecting their first child together, and they’re dishing all the details exclusively in this week’s issue of Woman’s Day.
The striking pair couldn’t be happier about welcoming their little bundle of joy, with Izzy calling the day he found out the news from Daisy “probably the best day in my life”.
“All my mates have kids, and so do my brothers and sisters, so I was very, very happy,” he says.
And aside from a “little blip” which saw Daisy briefly hospitalised at 22 weeks, the interior designer and cookbook author says “it’s been an amazing pregnancy so far”.
In fact, it was getting pregnant that was the hard part, with Daisy undergoing an operation in March after being diagnosed with endometriosis – a condition where tissue grows outside the uterus – the previous month.
After that, a rubella booster meant pregnancy plans had to be put on hold again, and Israel’s schedule also threw a spanner in the works.
But finally, Daisy became pregnant and the excited mum-to-be revealed the happy news to her All Black hubby in August. Soon after, the couple discovered they were having a boy, which Izzy says he’s “super-stoked” about.
“It’s been a good year – and it got even better with the little man coming along,” he tells.
