Kit Harrington cried while he read his final script for Game of Thrones, but after eight years, can you really blame him?
Harrington explained the emotional moment during an interview on UK television show The One Show.
“I cried at the end. You have to remember that eight years of it no one really cares about it more than us. I think, no-one really cares about [the show] more than us … It’s been an institution longer than any other institution I’ve been in. School, drama school, anything,” he said.
“I get a bit weepy thinking about it. It’s going to be a strange year saying goodbye to everyone and having last scenes with this person and that person. Not only you’re attached to it, loads of people around the world are attached to it,” Harrington said.
The star, who is to marry his onscreen lover Rose Leslie, said that although it’s sad, he is ready to finish the series.
“There’s a lot of things you can’t do. I’m looking forward to finishing, and eight years is the right amount of time. I wouldn’t want it to go on any longer than it has. I have other ideas I’d like to look at producing,” he said.
Now we’re getting upset, It’s going to be sad to see Game of Thrones end!
