These celebrities shed the pounds to unveil their newly lean figures – and we can’t help but be amazed by the transformation!

Funny man Chris Pratt’s slim down saw him burst onto the screen as a bona fide action star in Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, while British songstress Adele wowed everyone last year with a comeback showcasing both her fabulous new music and thinner physique.

From a change in diet to sessions at the gym, the celebs have a variety of tips and tricks for shedding the weight. Powerhouse singer and actress Jennifer Hudson revealed her slightly unorthodox trick for cutting down on the treat foods in an interview with Yahoo! Style in 2014: “I throw the pancakes across the room! I don’t let the food intimidate me. If it’s too much, I just get rid of it, but I make sure to watch what I put in my body,” she told the publication.

Meanwhile, Sam Smith revealed he dropped three stone (19kg) following London-based nutritional therapist Amelia Freer’s guidelines to healthy eating, which include doing away with junk food and processed snacks.

Gorgeous star America Ferrera rose to fame as the lead on TV’s Ugly Betty, but since then the actress has debuted a slimmed down figure. America is all about positive body image, however, telling Glamour, “To me, it’s all about being comfortable in your own skin”.

Comedian Seth Rogen slimmed down with the help of celeb-fave trainer Harley Pasternak, who helped the funny man lose around 13kg over a period of nine months.

Zach Galifianakis has been steadily dropping the pounds since his debut as the loveable oddball in The Hangover. The star hasn’t revealed too much about how he achieved his amazing slimdown, but in an interview with WGN he mentioned giving up alcohol and walking more.

Chris Pratt, the loveable star of Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, got ripped for his action roles by working with a trainer six days a week to achieve that toned and muscled look.

Britney Spears turned to a personal trainer to get in shape for her Vegas residency, which kicked off in December 2013. The singer put in the hard yards with 40-minute workouts 3-4 times a week, focusing on core training – and the results are jaw-dropping!

After welcoming son Ace in 2013, Jessica Simpson has been focusing on losing weight the healthy way. The Weight Watchers spokeswoman says she focused on staying active throughout her second pregnancy, telling Us, “Do whatever you want to do, and then afterwards just know that you have to work really hard.”

John Goodman has attributed his amazing weight loss to a change in eating habits. “I decided to stop stuffing food into my mouth every five minutes. Turns out I was just eating all the time,” he revealed in an interview.
