A biopic about pop icon Britney Spears has been announced – and the cast members who will play the leading roles.

The Lifetime channel announced its intent to produce a two hour film about the star earlier this year, and have now revealed the cast who will play JT, Kevin Federline and Britney herself.

Nathan Keyes will take on the role of Justin – who Britney dated from 1999 to 2002 (when they famously abstained from sex, remember?).

The 30-year-old star has had roles in TV series and movies including Glee, Cleaners and Brothers & Sisters. His best known role is in Ben 10: Alien Swarm, though that doesn’t really jog our memories.

Canadian heartthrob Clayton Chitty has been revealed as the man to play Kevin Federline, who unsurprisingly bears a striking resemblance to Britney’s ex-husband and former back-up dancer.

But who will play the princess of pop herself? Aussie actress Natasha Bassett was confirmed earlier this year to be taking on the role.

With her deep brown eyes and similar facial structure to Spears, it’s easy to see how the actress will transform into the role.

On Friday, Natasha took to her Instagram account to explain how excited she it to have been cast.

“I’m so thrilled to be playing the beautiful and incredibly talented Britney Spears,” she wrote.
