Thanks to her cheeky skills with Photoshop, Wellington-born Eloise Jack is bringing a whole new side of Beyonce and the ‘royal family’ to life.

The 25-year-old copywriter runs a Tumblr blog called The Carter Family Portrait Gallery, featuring over 60 images of classic paintings re-imagined with Beyonce, Jay and Blue Ivy as the subjects.

What started off as a hobby for the self-confessed Beyonce fan has now turned into quite the profitable side venture, with Eloise earning more than $1,000 from the sale of merchandise based on her efforts.

Despite tackling the classics (such as Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring), Eloise is quick to point out her work is more tongue-in-cheek than serious “real art”.

“I love Beyonce and I’m not trying to make fun of her or her family,” Eloise tells Woman’s Day.

“And I’m not trying to degrade the original artwork – I’m simply creating commentary about how celebrity is treated throughout the years.”
